3Disconnect pump shaft from extensionRemove four cover attaching screws, cover, gasketidler gear and drive gear, and shaft4Remove pressure regulator valve and valve parts5If the pickup screen or pipe need replacing, replace the entire pump and pickup screen assembly6Wash all parts in cleaning solvent and dry using compressed airInspection
Should any of the following conditions be found during inspection operations, the pump and pickup screen assembly should be replaced1Inspect pump body for cracks or excessive wearInspect oil pump gears for excessive wear or damage2Check shaft for looseness in the housingCheck inside of cover for wear that would permit oil to leak past the ends of gears3Check the oil pickup screen for damage to screen or relief grommetCheck for oil in the air chamber4Check pressure regulator valve plunger for fit in coverAssembly and Installation
