OJ 4Pull drain hose out of bellhousing if equipped5Remove bolts and nuts retaining bellhousingDisconnect ground wires and oil cooler bracketNote oil cooler orientation6Remove bell housing 7Use an offset box end wrench to remove the six nuts securing the coupler, and slide coupler off studs
8Remove old gasket from bellhousing coverClean gasket surface thoroughly
Installation 1Install coupler and attach six locknutsUse suitable adaptor and tighten nuts to 40-45 ftIbs(54-61 Nm)
2Install bell housingAttach oil cooler with same orientation as noted in previous stepTighten nuts and bolts to 32-40 ftIbs(43-54 Nm)Attach ground wires and tighten nuts to 15-20 ftIbs{20-27 N-m}_ 3Push drain hose into bell housing, if equipped4Apply Volvo Penta Gasket Sealing Compound or OMC Gasket Sealing Compound to both sides of new bellhousing gasket and position it on cover
