3Subtract the piston diameter from the cylinder bore diameter to determine piston to bore clearance4Locate the piston-to-bore clearance, refer to Engine SpecificationsDetermine if the piston-to-bore clearance is within the acceptable range

Refer to General Engine Mechanical section in this manualThe numbers on the connecting rod and bearing cap must be on the same side when installed in the cylinder boreIf connecting rod is ever transposed from one block or cylinder to another, new connecting rod bearings should be fitted and the connecting rod should be renumbered to correspond with the new cylinder number
