1Do not use RTV in areas where extreme temperatures are expected, such as exhaust manifold or head gaskets, or where gasket eliminator is specified2Use rubber mallet to separate components sealed with RTVBump the part sideways to shear the RTV sealerBumping should be done at bends or reinforced areas to prevent distortion of partsRTV is weaker in shear (lateral) strength than in tensile (vertical) strength
