1.lnspect: Commutator (outer surface) Dirty 7 Clean with #600 grit sandpaper CDHold the armature in vise and copper or aluminium plate
CAUTION:
Lightly grip the armature with vise2Measure: Commutator (diameter) Measure the diameter of the commutator at pOints where the brush comes in contactOut of specification 7 Replace the starter motor
