Section 07 TRANSMISSION Subsection 01 (DRIVE BELT)
NOTE: Turn Allen screws 14 turn at time, then rotate driven pulley to allow drive belt to settle in pulleyCheck height, repeat as required
DRIVE BELT DEFLECTION MEASUREMENT (REFERENCE ONLY)
IMPORTANT: The drive belt deflection will be automatically set after performing the pulley distance and belt height adjustmentsThe following procedure will confirm proper pulley distance and belt height adjustmentNOTE: To obtain an accurate drive belt deflection measurement, it is suggested to allow break-in period of 50 km (30 mi)Before checking the belt deflection, ensure that good-condition proper belt (Refer to the APPLICATION CHART) is installedAdjust pulley distance and alignmentRefer to PULLEY DISTANCE AND ALIGNMENTTo obtain maximum vehicle performance, the belt tension must be adjusted according to specifications shown in the accompanying chartMODEL Tundra All models (except Tundra) DEFLECTION mm (in) 32 (1.260 .197) 32 (1.260 .197) FORCE kg (lb) 6.8 (15) 11.5 (25)
