Section 06 ENGINE MANAGEMENT (4-TEC) Subsection 03 (COMPONENT INSPECTION AND ADJUSTMENT)
Check the resistance between pin and pin and also between pin and pin of the idle bypass valveThe resistance in each winding should be approximately 50 at 23C (73F)If the resistance of one or both windings is not good, replace the idle bypass valveIf resistance test of valve windings is good, check continuity of circuits A-35, A-36, A-37, A-38
Clean all remaining parts and install the idle bypass valve on the throttle bodyProceed with the CLOSED THROTTLE AND IDLE ACTUATOR RESETSee above

Visual Inspection
NOTE: Make sure the tether cord cap is removed during the following procedureRemove idle bypass valve from throttle bodyCheck the piston and bypass channel for dirtdeposits which can cause sticking pistonCAUTION: Always keep the tether cord cap disconnected, while the idle bypass valve is removedCAUTION: Do not try to operate the piston of the idle bypass valve when it is dismountedAlso do not move the piston by handThe drive screw is very sensitive and may be destroyedUsing part cleaner, clean idle bypass in throttle body from contamination then use an air gun to dry itR1004motr160A
