INSPECTION
NOTE: Due to dust accumulation, rewind starter must be periodically cleaned, inspected and relubricatedCAUTION: It is of the utmost importance that the rewind starter spring be lubricated periodically using Molykote PG 54 (PN 420 899 763)Otherwise, rewind starter component life will be shortened andor rewind starter will not operate properly under very cold temperaturesCheck if rope no1 is fraying, replace if soWhen pulling starter grip, mechanism must engage within 30 cm (1 ft) of rope pulledIf not, disassemble rewind starter, clean and check for damaged plastic partsReplace as required, lubricate, reassemble and recheckAlways replace O-ring no2 every time rewind starter is disassembleWhen releasing starter grip, it must return to its stopper and stay against itIf not, check for proper spring preload or damagesReadjust or replace as requiredWhen pulling starter grip 10 times in row, it must return freelyIf not, check for damaged parts or lack of lubricationReplace parts or lubricate accordingly
