Adjust and lock micrometer to the specified value on the piston dome1

1Micrometer set to the piston dimension
1Indicator set to (zero)
With the micrometer set to the piston dimension, adjust cylinder bore gauge to the micrometer dimension and set the indicator to 0
IMPORTANT: Always remove cylinders from crankcase before measuringPosition the dial bore gauge at 16 mm (58 in) below cylinder top edge
