SECTION 05ENGINE PREPARATION
bTo determinate the fully closed position of the air screw, turn the air screw slightlyExcessive tightening of the air screw would damage the seatThe position where the air screw comes to stop should be considered the fully closed positionThe maximum number of turns in the opening of the air screw must be limited to 3.0If the air screw is opened over 3.0 turns, the spring will not work and the air screw can come off during operation of the vehicleReplacing Pilot Jet

Pilot jets are numbered from no15 (the smallest) to no80 (the largest)The number corresponds to fuel flow and not necessarily to drill size or through-hole diameterAfter changing the pilot jet, check and adjust air screw as described aboveNOTE: Since the pilotair system provides some fuel up to wide open throttle, changes in this system will affect the throttle valve, jet needleneedle jet, and main jet metering systems
