Crank engine and record the result The voltage reading should not exceed 0.2 voltIf the result is over 0.2 volt, the solenoid is defective or there is bad connectionTEST Place the positive probe of multimeter to the output terminal of solenoid and the negative probe to the starter positive terminal
TEST Place the positive probe to the starter housing and the negative probe to negative battery terminal
