Section 05 ELECTRICAL SYSTEM Subsection 02 (CHARGING SYSTEM)
Slide off rubber boot from RED (+) cable and disconnect itUnscrew the bracket retaining nut and lift bracket to remove itPut bracket asideRemove battery1 2
WARNING
Should the battery casing be damaged, wear suitable pair of rubber gloves when removing the battery by handInspect battery posts for security of mounting
Battery Charge Testing
Voltmeter Test NOTE: To determine the battery state of charge, these sealed batteries have to be tested with voltmeterThey also need to be tested when their voltage is stabilizedDisconnect battery to have open connectors and wait 1-2 hours prior to reading the voltageThe same condition is required after battery has been chargedBatteries with voltage above 12.8 do not need to be chargedBatteries with voltage of 12.8 and below need to be chargedRefer to BATTERY CHARGING below
