Manual Start Models These models are equipped with YT4L-BS type battery that requires specific charging procedure at predelivery
WARNING
Capacitor may be chargedOnce discharged, transient recovery voltage may be generated in the capacitor after whileAlways discharge capacitor before servicing
Battery Charge Testing WARNING
Always wear safety glasses and charge in ventilated areaNever charge or boost battery while installed on vehicleDo not open the sealed caps during chargingDo not place battery near open flameThese sealed batteries have to be tested with voltmeterBatteries with voltage of 12.8 volts and above, no charge is required Batteries with voltage of 12.7 volts and below must be charged as follows:
BATTERY TYPE YT4L-BS STANDARD CHARGE 0.3 Ampshour for to 10 hours QUICK CHARGE 3.0 Ampshour for 30 min
Removal
Remove the 30 fuseConnect test light to capacitor terminals during complete minute to discharge capacitor
