KNOCK SENSOR (KS)
Replacement
Unscrew and remove knock sensor from cylinder headClean contact surface, apply Loctite 5910 (PN 293 800 081) on both contact surfaces on the knock sensor then install the new sensorCAUTION: Install screw and torque it within 10 minutes to prevent the sealant to dry before torquingA dried sealant before torquing would impair the knock sensor operationTorque screw to 20 Nm (15 lbfft)CAUTION: Improper torque might prevent sensor to work properly and lead engine to severe damage of internal componentsReplug connector
