Section 04 ENGINE MANAGEMENT (SDI) Subsection 03 (COMPONENT INSPECTION, REPLACEMENT AND ADJUSTMENT)
NOTE: Reset must be done each time the throttle position sensor (TPS) is loosened or removed or throttle body or ECM is replacedCAUTION: An improperly set TPS may lead to poor engine performanceUse the vehicle communication kit (VCK) with the B.U.D.Ssoftware to perform this adjustmentUnscrew idle speed screw until the throttle body plate stop lever rest against its zero position stopper screw (capped screw)If necessary, loosen the throttle cableOpen throttle approximately one quarter then quickly releaseRepeattimes to settle throttle plate
Now, the idle speed screw has to be adjustedTo do this, screw in the idle speed screw until B.U.D.Sthrottle opening displays value as per following tableVALUE MODEL Mach Summit AT SEA LEVEL 4.8 4.5 ABOVE 1800 (6000 ft) N.A5.0
