Section 08 DRIVE SYSTEM Subsection 06 (CHAINCASE)
GENERAL
During assemblyinstallation, use the torque values and service products as in the exploded viewClean threads before applying threadlockerRefer to SELF-LOCKING FASTENERS and LOCTITE APPLICATION at the beginning of this manual for complete procedure
NOTE: It is normal to find metallic particles stuck to dipstick magnetIf bigger pieces of metal are found, remove the chaincase cover and inspect the chaincase partsRemove metal particles from magnetRefill to upper markSee OIL CHANGE for the proper chaincase oil to useCAUTION: Do not use unrecommended types of oil when servicingDo not mix synthetic oil with other types of oilCheck O-rings no2If the O-rings are brittle, hard or otherwise damaged, replace them

Torque wrench tightening specifications must strictly be adhered toLocking devices (e.g locking tabs, elastic stop nuts, self-locking fasteners, cotter pin, etc must be installed or replaced with new ones where specifiedIf the efficiency of locking device is impaired, it must be renewed
