1Install hose pinchers
disconnect inlet and outlet coolant hoses from carburetors NOTE: Keep throttle cable installed to avoid further adjustment properly rotate and slightly pull out carburetors to gain access to TPS NOTE: Mark hose locations of E-RAVE solenoid for reinstallation remove solenoid screws and solenoidFor installation, reverse the removal procedureCheckadjust engine idle speed
This will validate the solenoid mechanical and electrical operationListen to or touch relay to feel it clicksIf the solenoid does not work, disconnect the connector from the solenoidNOTE: To gain access to connector pins, unlock connector and slide it out toward oil tankRefer to WIRING DIAGRAMSMeasure voltage between pin of DPM solenoid on harness side, and battery ground (engine ground on manual start models)If 12 is read, disconnect connector from the ECM and check continuity of circuit between pin DA-29 and pin 1If wireconnector tests good, try new ECMRefer to ECM for replacement proceduresIf it does not read 12 V, check the corresponding fuse(s), relay and continuity of circuit DP-2If continuity is faulty, repairreplace wireconnector
