Remove engine from chassisRefer to REMOVAL AND INSTALLATIONRemove engine fan cowls, cylinder heads and cylindersRefer to TOP ENDRemove rewind starterRefer to REWIND STARTERRemove fan belt pulley, trigger coils, magneto flywheel and stator plateRefer to MAGNETO SYSTEM
Apply synthetic grease (PN 413 711 500) on the crankshaft end and install crankshaft protector (PN 420 876 552)
CLEANING
Discard all seals, gaskets and O-ringsClean all metal components in non-ferrous metal cleanerUse Loctite Chisel (PN 413 708 500) accordinglyRemove all trace of Loctite 243 from crankshaft taperRemove old sealant from crankcase mating surfaces with Loctite ChiselCAUTION: Never use sharp object to scrape away old sealant as score marks incurred are detrimental to crankcase sealingA32CB1A
