Section 01 MAINTENANCE Subsection 03 (PRESEASON PREPARATION)
Air Filter
Check that inside of air silencer is clean and dry then properly reinstall the filterCAUTION: These snowmobiles have been calibrated with the filter installedOperating the snowmobile without it, may cause engine damage
Remove any rust built-up on braking surfacesClean brake disk braking surfaces with pulley flange cleaner (PN 413 711 809)
Chaincase Oil
Check chaincase oil for proper levelAdd recommended chaincase oil as requiredMODELS Fan Cooled Liquid Cooled CHAINCASE OIL XP-S chaincase oil (PN 413 801 900) XP-S synthetic chaincase oil (PN 413 803 300)
Throttle Body (SDI)
Remove the throttle body from vehicleUsing the pulley flange cleaner (PN 413 711 809), remove the dirt ejected by the drive belt from the throttle plate and from both throttle body boresAfter throttle body installation, adjust throttle and injection oil cables
Track Tension and Alignment
Verify track tension and alignment, refer to DRIVE SYSTEM section and the appropriate subsectionNOTE: Track tension and alignment are interrelatedDo not adjust one without checking the otherTrack tension procedure must be carried out prior to track alignment
