Lubricate: long tie rod ends short tie rod ends upper arm ball joint on so equipped modelsGrease the following items with the synthetic grease (PN 413 711 500) plastic U-clamps no6 ski legs LH and RH swivel arms no3 stabilizer blocks in swing arm
Locate the element wires inside the handlebar; look through end of gripStart cutting the grip exactly opposite the element wires and immediately peel it open to locate the gap in the heating element, as shown

To check the heating grip element, refer to TESTING PROCEDURE in ELECTRICAL SYSTEM sectionA19H04A
