Section 08 TRANSMISSION Subsection 05 (BRAKE)
Pull countershaft no16 toward driven pulley side to free from chaincase and disc Remove disc
Inspection
A30D1BA

A1 mm (132 in) minimum

Check for scoring, cracking or bending, replace as requiredCAUTION: Brake disc should never be machined
Installation
Using C-clamp or another suitable tool, push the pistons all the way in to allow installation of new padsTo avoid damaging the pistons, use an old pad to push the pistons into the caliperNOTE: Clean remaining O.Dof pistons out from caliper with clean brake fluid before pushing the pistons back inMake sure the pistons are free of any contaminant and are shinyInstall: new brake pads spring and push pins to lock the brake pads retainers in the pin holes caliper on the brake disc (do not torque yet) locking tabNOTE: Do not forget to fold locking tab over caliper bolt
Installation
Apply anti-seize lubricant (PN 293 800 070) on shaftThe disc hub exceeds the disc more from one side than from the otherInstall disc with the longer exceeding portion toward driven pulleyReinstall all removed parts
