FUEL INJECTORS
Leakage Test
To perform leakage test, the injectors and fuel rails have to be removed from the engineNOTE: Do not detach injectors and fuel rails from the intake manifoldRemove complete intake manifold with installed fuel rails and injectors to perform this testReconnect the fuel line and the wiring harnessPlace each injector in clean bowlInstall the tether cord cap on the DESS post and push start button, without cranking the engine, to activate the fuel pumpCheck for fuel leakage from the injector nozzleThere should be less than drop per minutePerform the test for minutesIf not within specification, replace the fuel injector(s)The leakage test is validated when performing the FUEL DELIVERY SYSTEM DIAGNOSTIC FLOW CHART elsewhere in this section
