Wipe off any fuel spillage in the engine compartmentFuel is flammable and explosive under certain conditionsAlways work in well ventilated areaReinstall removed parts
Electrical Test
When depressing start button, the fuel pump should run for seconds to build up the pressure in the systemIf the pump does not work, disconnect the plug connector from the fuel pumpInstall temporary connector to the fuel pump connector 6-PEApply 12 (+ on pin andon pin 3) to this test harnessIf pump does not run, replace the fuel pump moduleOtherwise, probe terminals and of fuel pump connector 6-PE on vehicle harness sideWhen depressing start button, you should read battery voltage for approximately seconds (then voltage will drop to approximately 11 V)If battery voltage is read, the problem can be in harness or in fuel pump connectorRepair or replace appropriate part
