Section 04 ENGINE Subsection 05 (LEAK TEST AND ENGINE DIMENSION MEASUREMENT)
NOTE: When checking the combustion chamber volume, engine must be cold, piston must be free of carbon deposit and cylinder head must be leveled1Remove both spark plugs and bring one piston to Top Dead Center using TDC gauge6Open burette valve to fill its tipAdd liquid in burette until level reaches cc7Inject the burette content through the spark plug hole until liquid touches the top of the spark plug hole

1Bring piston to TDC

2Remove cylinder head3Seal piston ring gap with small amount of grease4Reinstall cylinder head5Obtain graduated burette (capacity 0-50 cc) and fill with an equal part (5050) of gasoline and injection oil
NOTE: The liquid level in cylinder must not drop for few seconds after fillingIf so, there is leak between piston and cylinderThe recorded volume would be false8Let burette stand upward for about 10 minutes, until liquid level is stabilized9Read the burette scale to obtain the quantity of liquid injected in the combustion chamberNOTE: When the combustion chamber is filled to top of spark plug hole, it includes an amount of 2.25 cc corresponding to the spark plug well10Repeat the procedure for the other cylinderENGINE COMBUSTION CHAMBER VOLUME (cc) TYPE (up to top thread of spark plug hole)
