NOTE: Engine must be removed from chassis to perform the following procedures
CLEANING
Discard all oil seals, gaskets, O-rings and sealing ringsClean all metal components in non-ferrous metal cleanerUse gasket remover (PN 413 708 500) accordinglyRemove old paste gasket from crankcase mating surfaces with gasket remover (PN 413 708 500)CAUTION: Never use sharp object to scrape away old sealant as score marks incurred are detrimental to crankcase sealing
Using screws (PN 420 840 681) Install bearing puller (PN 420 877 635) on the half ringsSecure the bearing puller in vise by one of its rib

General
To remove drive pulley, refer to DRIVE PULLEYTo remove magneto, refer to CDI SYSTEM
BEARING PULLER SECURED IN THE VISE
2,3, Crankshaft Bearing
To remove PTO side bearings no3 from crankshaft, install half rings (PN 420 977 475) and puller ring (PN 420 977 490) on the bearing
