SECTION 04ENGINE PREPARATION
5, Trigger Coil
Magneto and stator no6 must be removed before removing the trigger coilTo replace the trigger coil no5: Disconnect trigger coil connector housing Remove grommet from crankcase where trigger coil wire exits magneto housing Remove retaining screws no4 Remove trigger coil and carefully pull wires Install new trigger coil and other parts removed
3, Magneto Flywheel
Clean crankshaft extension (taper) and apply Loctite 243 (blue) on taper, then position Woodruff key, flywheel and lock washer on crankshaftClean nut threads and apply Loctite 243 (blue) then tighten nut to 125 Nm (92 lbfft)At reassembly coat all electric connections except Deutsch housings (waterproof gray housing) with silicone dielectric grease (PN 293 550 004) to prevent corrosion or moisture penetrationCAUTION: Do not use silicone "sealant", this product will corrode contactsDo not apply silicone dielectric grease on any Deutsch (gray) housing otherwise housing seal will be damaged
