TPS "OUT OF RANGE" Fault
It is caused by the sensor reading going out of its allowable rangeThis fault can occur during the whole range of movement of the throttleTo diagnose this fully, it is recommended to operate the throttle through its full rangeIt is also recommended to release the throttle quickly as this may also reveal fault that is intermittentPOSSIBLE CAUSES Check if connector is disconnected from TPS Check if sensor is loose Inspect sensor for damage or corrosion Inspect wiring (voltage test) Inspect wiring and sensor (resistance test) Test sensor operation (wear test) RESULT Yes Yes Yes Failed Failed ReconnectTighten sensor and reset Closed ThrottleReplace sensor and reset Closed ThrottleRepairIf bad wiring, repairIf bad TPS, replace and reset Closed ThrottleReplace sensor and reset Closed ThrottleACTION
