TDC SETTING (TOP DEAD CENTER)
Refer to IGNITION TIMING section
If in doubt, proceed with the following residual voltage testResidual Voltage Test Connect 12 test lamp to capacitor terminals during complete minute to discharge capacitorConnect switch (in OFF position) between 12 battery positive post and the capacitor positive postConnect the battery negative post to the capacitor negative postTurn on the switch for secondsDisconnect the capacitor from the batteryNote battery voltage
CAPACITOR
WARNING
Capacitor may be chargedOnce discharged, transient recovery voltage may be generated in the capacitor after whileAlways discharge capacitor before servicing
Removal
Remove the 30 fuseConnect test light to capacitor terminals during complete minute to discharge capacitor
