FUEL INJECTOR
Leakage Test
To perform leakage test, the injectors and fuel rail have to be removed from the engineRefer to REMOVAL in FUEL RAIL REPLACEMENT for the procedureNOTE: Do not detach injectors from the fuel railReconnect the fuel line and the wiring harnessPlace each injector in clean bowlInstall the tether cord cap on the DESS post to activate the fuel pumpCheck for fuel leakage from the injector nozzleThere should be less than drop per minutePerform the test for minutesIf not within specification, replace the fuel injector(s)Properly reinstall removed partsThe leakage test is validated when performing the FUEL DELIVERY SYSTEM DIAGNOSTIC FLOW CHART elsewhere in this section
