If clearance exceeds specified tolerance, rehone cylinder sleeve and replace piston ass'y by an oversize oneNOTE: It is not necessary to have all pistons replaced with an oversize if they are not all out of specificationMixed standard size and oversize piston are allowedNOTE: Make sure the cylinder bore gauge indicator is set exactly at the same position as with the micrometer, otherwise the reading will be false
Replace connecting rod if diameter of connecting rod small end is out of specificationsRefer to CRANKSHAFT AND BALANCER SHAFT for removal procedure of connecting rod
Installation
For installation, reverse the removal procedurePay attention to the following detailsApply engine oil on the piston pinInsert piston pin into piston and connecting rodUse the piston circlip installer (PN 529 035 765) to assemble the piston circlipCAUTION: Secure piston pin with new piston circlips NOTE: Take care that the hook of the piston circlip is positioned properlyPiston Pin
