SYMPTOM
OIL CONTAMINATION (white appearance)
CONDITION
TESTINSPECTION
NORMAL USE1Check control bore (beside water pump housing) if water and oil leaksaLeakage of oilwater mixture from bore means damaged water pump seal ring and rotary sealReplace sealing ring, rotary seal and refill with recommended oil andor coolant (refer to COOLING SYSTEM)2Check cylinder head andor cylinder base gasketaGasket damaged or leakingRetighten cylinder head with recommended torque andor replace gasket3Check tightening torque of cylinder head screwsaScrews not properly tightenedRetighten screws to recommended torque and replace oil4Check oil for particles (may indicate possible engine internal damages)aOil contamination due to metal or plastic particlesReplace possibly damaged partsUse Bombardier's recommended oil (refer to TECHNICAL DATA)
