NOTE: These models feature an integrated heating element in the plastic sleeve of the gripCAUTION: Removing grip from handlebar might damage the heating elementDo not remove needlesslyNOTE: If heating grip does not work and needs to be replaced, the grip can be cut with knife for removalThrottle Side: Unfasten windshieldNOTE: Throttle lever housing no21 must come off handlebar along with gripRemove cap no3Unplug RH harness on top of steering columnCut locking ties retaining RH harness to handlebarRemove throttle lever housing cover no19
Loosen screw no20 retaining throttle lever housing to handlebarSee photo belowInsert the open side of 23 mm (78 in) wrench against the inner end of gripCAUTION: Pay attention not to damage wires with the wrenchUsing plastic hammer, tap on the side of the wrench end to make the grip slide out
