Section 04 ENGINE (593 HO AND 793 ENGINE TYPES)
NOTE: Engine must be removed from chassis to perform the following procedures
ASSEMBLY
Coat lip of all seals with Petamo grease (PN 420 899 271)
CLEANING
Discard all oil seals, gaskets, O-rings and sealing ringsClean all metal components in non-ferrous metal cleanerUse Gasket remover (PN 413 708 500) accordinglyRemove old paste gasket from crankcase mating surfaces with Gasket remover (PN 413 708 500)CAUTION: Never use sharp object to scrape away old sealant as score marks incurred are harmful to crankcase sealing
2, Crankshaft Bearing
Smear anti-seize lubricant (PN 413 701 000) on part of crankshaft where bearing fitsPrior to installation, place bearings into an oil container filled with injection oil previously heated to 75C (167F)This will expand bearing and ease installationSome bearings must be lubricated with Isoflex grease (PN 293 550 021)CAUTION: Use only the recommended Isoflex greaseMake sure not to push Isoflex grease between outside bearing race and half crankcaseNOTE: The 50 tube corresponds to 50 cc of greasePut 50 to 55 mL of grease in syringeCAUTION: Do not exceed the recommended amount of greaseFill inner side of PTO side bearing with Isoflex grease (about 10 mL)
