Section 05 TRANSMISSION Subsection 06 (BRAKE)
Each time new caliper or new brake pads are installed, proceed with the following: With caliper not bolted to chaincase, apply brake few times until both new pads are touching each other Push back pads and repeat above step Push back pads then fasten caliper to chaincase Proceed with bleeding as described in this subsection
Install remover (PN 529 035 699) on countershaft for complete bearing removal1 529 035 699

REMOVAL
BRAKE DISC REMOVAL Models with Hydraulic Brake Brake disc can be removed without removing chaincaseProceed as follows: Remove belt guard, belt and driven pulley Remove air silencer Unbolt bearing support no4 from chassis Unscrew caliper from chaincase Open chaincase and remove upper sprocket Pull countershaft no3 toward driven pulley side to free from chaincase and disc Remove discCOUNTERSHAFT BEARING REMOVAL Unbolt bearing supportInstall screw from remover (PN 529 035 699)529 035 699
