Section 04 ENGINE (CARBURETOR AND FUEL PUMP)
If there is no apparent breakage or missing parts on DPM manifold, perform the following leak test procedure
Leak Testing
Required Items The following items will be required: Water column with at least 350 mm (13-34 in) in height Engine leak test kit (PN 861 749 100) 4.8 mm (316 in) T-fitting 3.5 mm (964 in) ID 100 mm (4 in) hose mm (1564 in) ID 300 mm (12 in) hoseDPM Manifold Preparation Connect both carburetor bowl outlets on the distribution gallery using the 3.5 mm (964 in) ID 100 mm (4 in) hoseThe hose will have "U" shape once connectedConnect one of the vacuum collector ports from carburetor using one end of the mm (1564 in) ID 300 mm (12 in) hose and connect the other end to the atmospheric pressure inlet portRefer to following photoWater Column Preparation Mount water column vertically and secure it to wall or workbenchFill water column to center line (at least 175 mm (6-78 in)) in heightRefer to following photo
