DRIVE CHAIN
REMOVAL
NOTE: To ease drive chain removal, remove drive chain automatic tensioner firstRotate drive chain to locate connecting link circlipUsing flat screwdriver push on both ends of circlip to remove itINSPECTION
Check that chain is not stretchedCAUTION: On stretched chain, pitch has changed (increased) and will not properly match the sprockets pitch, causing premature wearFor that reason, stretched chain must never be shortenedVisually inspect chain for cracked, damaged or missing linksCheck for worn or defective bearings, sprockets and chain tensioner components

REMOVE CIRCLIP 1Using screwdriver, push circlip here

INSTALLATION
Reinstall drive chain on both sprocketsJoin both drive chain ends using connecting linkSecure connecting link using outer link and circlipInstall circlip so that open end is positioned opposite side of drive chain rotationSee the following illustration
