To adjust deflection tension, add or remove shim(s) no15 between pulley halves nos14 and 16Install excess shim(s) between distance sleeve no13 and half pulley no14 (housing side)2 3
Finalizing Reassembly
Reinstall rewind starterCAUTION: When installing rewind starter, ensure that oil pump shaft is properly positionedDo not force shaft insertionTurn fan until oil pump shaft slides in place, as shown in the following photo

Some engines have separate metal pulley half instead of using back of fan as pulley halfOn first mentioned engines, select pulley halves so that the one with positioning noses will be on fan sideEnsure to insert these noses into fan notchesOnce fan belt is properly adjusted, torque fan nut to 48 Nm (35 lbfft) using fan holder tool (PN 420 876 357), as shown in the following photoNOTE: Apply Loctite 243 (blue) on fan nut threads
