Section 04 ENGINE (CARBURETOR AND FUEL PUMP)
TESTING PROCEDURE
Pressure Test The pump must create minimum pressure of 400 50 mm of waterConnect jet (PN 270 500 157) to hose then connect that little tube to the small nipple of T-fitting (PN 414 222 500)Install that T-fitting between U-tube and air pump outlet
DPM System
Solenoids are supplied by the MPEMIf MPEM does not work, there will be no current on compensation solenoid RDBL and BK connectors; and on enrichment solenoid RDGR and BK connectorsUnplug upper solenoid wire (enrichment)Connect good solenoid to MPEM output connector-
CAUTION
Do not disconnect both DPM connectorsThe compensation solenoid must remain pluggedDisconnect engine temperature sensor connectorThe DPM system now operates as though the engine temperature was20C (- 4F) to allow maximum mixture enrichmentFor the compensation solenoid, the air temperature sensor no4 must be at room temperatureOperate the engine at 3500 RPMThe solenoid must vibrate
