Section 04 ENGINE Subsection 11 (CARBURETOR AND FUEL PUMP)
Check throttle slide position at wide open throttleThrottle slide must be flush or mm (.040 in) lower than carburetor outlet boreAt that same position, check that throttle slide does not contact carburetor coverTurn cable adjuster and recheck synchronization-
CAUTION

If the throttle slide rests against the carburetor cover at full throttle opening, this will create too much strain and may damage the throttle cable or other components in throttle mechanism
Start engine and allow it to warm then adjust idle speed to specifications by turning idle speed screw clockwise to increase engine speed or counterclockwise to decrease itNOTE: On twin-carburetor models: Turn adjustment screw the same amount to keep carburetors synchronizedRefer to TECHNICAL DATA 10 for the specifications
