Section 06 ELECTRICAL Subsection 04 (BATTERY)
Withdraw battery from vehicle being careful not lean it so that electrolyte flows out of vent tube;
WARNING
CAUTION
Should any electrolyte spillage occur, immediately wash off with solution of baking soda and water to prevent damage to vehicle components
Should the battery casing be damaged, wear suitable pair of non-absorbent gloves when removing the battery by handInspect battery posts for security of mountingInspect for cracked or damaged battery caps, replace defective caps
CLEANING
Clean the battery, battery casing, vent tube, caps, cables and battery posts using solution of baking soda and water
WARNING
Battery caps do not have vent holesMake sure that vent tube is not obstructed
