Section 04 ENGINE Subsection 05 (CDI SYSTEM)
Proceed as follows: 1Rotate flywheel so that one protrusion aligns with trigger coil2Using feeler gauge of 0.45 mm (.018 in) to 0.55 mm (.022 in) thick, check air-gap between center pole of trigger coil and flywheel protrusion3If necessary, adjust by slackening retaining screws and moving trigger coil toward or away of protrusion4Retighten screws and recheck air-gap
ASSEMBLY
Clean crankshaft extension (taper)Apply Loctite 242 (blue) on taperPosition Woodruff key, flywheel and lock washer on crankshaftClean nut threads and apply Loctite 242 (blue) before tightening nut to 105 Nm (77 lbfft)At reassembly coat all electric connections with silicone dielectric grease (PN 413 701 700) to prevent corrosion or moisture penetration
