IGNITION COIL OUTPUT
A paper clip of approximately 20 mm (34 in) will be used as test adapter for the following test1Clip the test adapter around spark plug cable close to MAG side spark plug2Connect tester wires then set switch and dial as follows:
Tester wires Component wires Test adapter (paper clip) on spark plug cable Engine ground Tester switch position Tester dial position
IGNITION MODULE
Ignition module can not be tested with the Bombardier ignition testerWhen other components test good, the module is probably faultyTry new module
LIGHTING GENERATOR COIL OUTPUT
' of the ignition systemIt is separate system that supplies current to the lighting system
and AC-powered devicesHowever it can be tested with the same tester1Disconnect wiring harness junction block at engine (the one with YELLOW and YELLOW wires)2Connect tester wires then set switch and dial as follows:
