REMOVAL
Remove air silencer(s)Refer to BATTERY 05-05Disconnect fuel inlet lineDisconnect primer line from carburetor on some modelsDisconnect choke cable on some modelsUnscrew carburetor cover no1 then pull out throttle slide no5 from carburetor
15, Filter
Check for clogged filterClean or replace as requiredCheck inlet needle tip conditionIf worn, the inlet needle and seat must be replaced as matched setNOTE: Install needle valve for snowmobile carburetor onlyIt is designed to operate with fuel pump systemCheck throttle slide for wearReplace as necessaryCheck idle speed screw straightnessReplace as necessaryCheck for fuel soaked into float no12; replace as necessaryCheck float for cracks or other damages affecting free movement; replace as necessary'

Exercise care when handling throttle slideScratches incurred may cause throttle slide to stick open in operationDisconnect throttle cable from throttle slideUntighten rubber flange clamps then remove carburetor from engine
