ENGINE TURNS OVER BUT FAILS TO START NORMAL USE 1Check switchesa.Ignition switch, emergency cut-out switch or tether switch is in the OFF positionPlace all switches in the RUN or ON position2Check fuel levela.Mixture not rich enough to start cold engineCheck fuel tank level and use primer3Check spark pluga.Defective spark plug (no spark)Replace spark plug(s)4Check amount of fuel on spark pluga.Flooded engine (spark plug wet when removed)Do not overprimeRemove wet spark plug(s), turn ignition switch to OFF and crank engine several timesInstall clean dry spark plugStart engine following usual starting procedure5Check fuel linesa.No fuel to the engine (spark plug dry when removed)Check fuel tank level; turn fuel valve on if applicable; check fuel filter, replace if clogged; check condition of fuel and impulse lines and their connections6Check engine compressiona.Insufficient engine compressionReplace defective part(s) (ex piston(s), ring(s), etc
