Section 01 LUBRICATION AND MAINTENANCE Sub-Section 01 (LUBRICATION AND MAINTENANCE CHART)
NO1 ENGINE LUBRICATION
Engine internal parts must be lubricated to protect them from possible rust formation during the storage periodTo perform the storage procedures, proceed as follows: Start the engine and allow it to run at idle speed until the engine reaches its operating temperature
Models with Choke Remove air silencers to spray storage oil into each carburetor boreAll Models Restart engine and run at idle speedInject storage oil until the engine stalls or until sufficient quantity of oil has entered the engine (approximately half can)With the engine stopped, remove the spark plug and spray storage oil (PN 496 0141 00) into each cylinderCrank slowly or revolutions to lubricate cylindersReinstall the spark plugs and the outlet primer hose or air silencers
WARNING

Ensure the track is free of all particles which could be thrown out while it is rotatingKeep hands, tools, feet and clothing clear of trackEnsure no one is standing in close proximity to the vehicleStop the engine
