Checking Ignition Timing
Use timing light (PN 529 0319 00)To check the ignition timing, refer to illustration and proceed as follows: TE: Engine should be cold when checking timingDo not idle engine for more than 20 seconds and make checks quickly
WARNING

Place ski tips against all, raise rear of vehicle on stand, so that track does not contact the groundDo not allo anyone in front of or behind the vehicle hile engine is runningKeep clear of track and do not ear loose clothing hich can get caught in oving parts1Connect the timing light pick-up to spark plug cable and the power connections to the batteryN TE: To avoid an incorrect reading due to parallax, view the magneto flywheel and the crankcase timing marks in straight line2Start the engine and point timing light straight in line with the crankcase timing markBring engine to 6000 RPM for brief instant
