Section 03 ENGINE (CARBURETOR AND FUEL PUMP)
REMOVAL
Remove air silencersDisconnect fuel inlet linesDisconnect choke cable(s)

Check for clogged filterClean or replace as requiredCheck inlet needle tip conditionIf worn, the inlet needle and seat must be replaced as matched setNOTE: Install needle valve for snowmobile carburetor onlyIt is designed to operate with fuel pump systemCheck throttle slide for wearReplace as necessaryCheck idle speed screw straightnessReplace as necessaryCheck for fuel soaked into float no12; replace as necessaryCheck float for cracks or other damages affecting free movement; replace as necessary
All Models Except Mach ZZ LT Unscrew carburetor cover no1 then pull out throttle slide no5 from carburetor
WARNING
Exercise care when handling throttle slideScratches incurred may cause throttle slide to stick open in operationDisconnect throttle cable from throttle slide
