Spring Torsional Pre-Load To check spring pre-load adjustment, use spring scale hook (P529 0065 00) and spring scaleRemove drive beltInstall the hook on the sliding halfPreventing fixed half from turning, pull sliding half with the spring scale perpendicularly with pulley axleTake 1st measurement when sliding half begins to turnRotate sliding half to 10 mm (38 in) of rotationHold fish scale at this positionSlowly release tension from fish scale and take nd measurement when sliding half begins to returnSpring pre-load is the average measurement between these 21st measurement measurementSpring (when opening) (when closing)pre-load Example3.8 kg (8.4 lb) 3.4 kg (7.5 lb)(when opening) (when closing) 3.6 kg (8 lb) Actualspring pre-load 2nd
