Remove air silencer(s)For S-Series, see BATTERY 05-05Disconnect fuel inlet lineDisconnect primer line from carburetor on some modelsDisconnect choke cable on some modelsUnscrew carburetor cover no1 then pull out throttle slide no5 from carburetorWARNINGExercise care when handling throttle slideScratches incurred may cause throttle slide to stick open in operationDisconnect throttle cable from throttle slideUntighten rubber flange clamps then remove carburetor from engine;

CLEANING AND INSPECTION
The entire carburetor should be cleaned with general solvent and dried with compressed air before disassemblyCAUTIONHeavy duty carburetor cleaner may be harmful to the float material and to the rubber parts, O-rings, etcTherefore, it is recommended to remove those parts prior to cleaningCarburetor body and jets should be cleaned in carburetor cleaner following manufacturer's instructionsWARNINGSolvent with low flash point such as gasoline, naphtha, benzol, etc should not be used as they are flammable and explosiveCheck inlet needle tip conditionIf worn, the inlet needle and seat must be replaced as matched setNOTEInstall needle valve for snowmobile carburetor onlyIt is designed to operate with fuel pump systemCheck throttle slide for wearReplace as necessaryCheck idle speed screw straightnessReplace as necessary
