REMOVAL
Using small screwdriver, extract rope knot from starter grip no15Cut rope close to knotTie knot near starterRemove screws no3 and washers no2 securing rewind starter no1 to engine then remove rewind starterOn fan cooled models with oil injection pump remove pump from rewind starter coverDISASSEMBLY
To remove rope from rewind starter mechanismFirst remove locking ring no12, locking spring no11, circlip no10, pawl lock no9 and pawl no8 Remove sheave no5 from starter housing no1 Disengage key no7 and pull out rope no6
